The Irish Car Bomb

• 1/2 Pint Guinness
• 1 oz. Jamison Irish Whiskey
• 1 oz. Bailey's Irish Creme

Pour the half pint of Guinness. In a shot glass, combine the Jamison and Bailey's. Gently drop the shot glass in the pint glass and slug the whole thing down.

Originally introduced to me many moons ago on a ski trip to Aspen over a St. Patrick's Day weekend. Recently rediscovered and enjoyed immensely on rare occasions.

Hoist your pint in the air and repeat a classic St. Patrick's Day toast

Saint Patrick was a gentleman,
Who through strategy and stealth,
Drove all the snakes from Ireland,
Here’s a toasting to his health.
But not too many toastings
Lest you lose yourself and then
Forget the good Saint Patrick
And see all those snakes again.

Sláinte!'
(pronounced 'slawn-cha', meaning Health! A common toast in Ireland, the equivalent to ‘Cheers’)
